Six Chix comic strip

This is a totally awsome Six Chix comic strip that I had to share. If you can't read it comment and tell me so.

wow! how blind i've been

As I started to type a post with a different subject I realized something.
Sure, this is pretty obvious but, here I am typing about saving the earth and yet I'm using a lot of electricety to power this computer that might have to be replaced in a few years...NOT very earth friendly.
Give me your opinion. Do you think that it's better to make people aware by blogging to them about the earth... or do you think I should get off the computer and make people aware by word of mouth???
Let me know what you think!!

Earthquake in Haiti

Hi,
As you probably, there has been an earthquake in Haiti. After listening to a news report I learned that the greatest way to help is to send money to an organization/ funds that will serve the people in Haiti. A few that I know of from reading a friend's blog are, Oxfam America and Craft Hope for Haiti. (You can find the latter on Etsy.)
Today is M.L.K. Day and a perfect day to help. If you are unable to give, spread the news about these organizations/funds for Haiti. People will know that you wish to help in your heart.
Please help Haiti!

What is Green?

In my opinion green is anything that is eco-friendly (not harmful to the environment) and doesn't harm people and animals.
(It's also a color)
Going Green is when you try to do things that are environmentally-friendly (good for the earth)You can try to go green by following some of the tips I have posted, you can also go to other websites that talk about going green. You can talk to an environmentalist or someone else who is knowledgeable on that subject. It's good to learn about going green... and i hope you'll look into it!
If you have anything to add, or you would like to ask a question, please add a comment and I'll try to get back to you!

You answer

Another question that I was recently asked:
If you buy a packaged dinner from the store and heat it up, is it better to use a reusable plate to eat the dinner off of or should you reuse the box that you bought it in?
In my opinion I think that buying a packaged dinner in the first place is not very eco-friendly, making both of these options not veryr green.
Please let me know what you think by commenting on this post!

So...

Yola! (popular word meaning hello, hola, yo.)

I was recently asked, 'Is is better to use a paper napkin or reusable plate when eating a snack?'

People think differently about this.
A few people think that a paper napkin is better, why they think so;
1) If it's a white napkin it can be composted.
2) It is a waste of water to keep washing plates.

Other people (who are correct in my opinion) think that a reusable plate is better. Their reasons;
1)When shipping paper napkins it takes A LOT of gasoline
2)You can wash and REUSE a REUSABLE plate
3)Washing a plate does not waste water because you will use it again

After reading this (and maybe doing your own research you can tell me which one you think is best...
